Chiropractic at STRONG.

STRONG. Chiropractors focus on treating injuries, optimizing athletic performance, and promoting overall physical well-being. Your chiropractor can use a variety of different manual techniques to address musculoskeletal issues, enhance mobility, and reduce pain.

While originally focusing on the spine (back and neck), STRONG. Chiropractors are educated and trained in diagnosing and treating injuries across the entire body. Your chiropractor can address issues of the knee, ankle, shoulder, back, neck and many more. Our STRONG. Chiropractors assess and treat similar conditions to our Physiotherapists, utilizing similar techniques and tools.

Your first visit with your STRONG. Chiropractor consists of a thorough health history, physical and orthopedic examination, diagnosis, discussion of treatment options, and initiation of treatment.

Not just cracking your back? Nope! STRONG. Chiropractors may or may not recommend mobilization or manipulation of your joints as a small part of a comprehensive approach to your recovery. If you are uncomfortable with this technique; no problem! There are a variety of ways to treat your particular issue without the use of manipulation.

Our clients’ comfort and buy-in are always priority #1.

Working with your chiropractor to find the best combination of treatments that you are comfortable with is a critical part of your visit. You always have the final say in what treatments will occur and your chiropractor will never perform any treatments you are uncomfortable with. Some common treatment techniques include soft tissue manual release, acupuncture, exercise or rehabilitation, and/or joint manipulation/mobilization to name a few.

As part of managing your injury, STRONG. Chiropractors often collaborate with other healthcare providers, coaches, and trainers to create personalized treatment plans that cater to your specific needs and goals. If you work with a trainer elsewhere we’d love to meet them! Great communication is paramount for great results.

Whether you need help recovering from injuries, preventing future injuries, or improving your athletic performance through targeted interventions and integrated care, we can help.

Physiotherapy at STRONG.

STRONG. Physiotherapists use a variety of techniques to reduce pain, improve movement, and boost strength and flexibility for various conditions. Whether you're experiencing an injury, chronic pain, or just want to improve performance; our goal is to help you regain function, prevent future issues, and improve your quality of life.

Your first STRONG. physiotherapy visit typically lasts one hour and consists of a history, physical examination, diagnosis, creation of treatment plan, and some treatment itself. Treatments will vary depending on your condition and your preference. However, some often used treatment techniques include exercise, manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization and more.

Subsequent visits may be needed in order to reach maximum recovery of your symptoms. These visits may be 30, 45, or even 60 minutes depending on your condition and what needs to be done. These follow-ups typically re-evaluate your progress and expand on the treatment provided the previous appointment.

Recovery is a journey. The speed at which you recover will change throughout the process. Frequent communication with your physiotherapist ensures that the right treatments at the right time are applied so that you can fully recover and get back to doing what you love!

Massage at STRONG.

Massage therapy is a holistic healing practice that involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and alleviate physical discomfort. Tracing its roots back thousands of years, massage has evolved into a respected form of complementary and alternative medicine. The primary goal of massage therapy is to enhance the overall well-being of an individual, addressing not only the physical but also the mental and emotional aspects of health.

One of the key benefits of massage therapy is its ability to relieve muscular tension and improve flexibility. Skilled massage therapists use a variety of techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and reflexology, to target specific muscles and release knots or tightness. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic pain conditions, those recovering from injuries, or individuals with sedentary lifestyles.

Beyond its impact on the musculoskeletal system, massage therapy is renowned for its stress-reducing effects. In today's fast-paced world, where stress has become a ubiquitous part of daily life, regular massage sessions offer a sanctuary for relaxation. The gentle pressure and rhythmic movements of massage stimulate the production of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals, fostering a sense of tranquility and promoting mental clarity.

Moreover, massage therapy has been associated with improvements in circulation and the immune system. The manipulation of soft tissues encourages blood flow, which, in turn, enhances the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to cells throughout the body. This can contribute to faster healing and improved overall health. Additionally, the lymphatic system, a key component of the immune system, can benefit from the stimulation provided by massage, potentially aiding in the removal of toxins from the body.

In essence, massage therapy is a versatile and therapeutic practice that extends well beyond mere relaxation. Its holistic approach addresses the interconnectedness of the body and mind, offering a multitude of benefits that contribute to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. Whether seeking relief from physical ailments, managing stress, or simply indulging in self-care, individuals can find profound and lasting benefits through the healing touch of massage therapy.

Naturopathy at STRONG.

STRONG. Naturopathy combines traditional healing practices with modern scientific knowledge to address the root causes of health issues. Naturopaths use a range of therapies such as herbal medicine, nutrition, lifestyle counseling, and physical therapies to support the body's inherent healing abilities. Our goal is to treat the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while promoting wellness and helping individuals achieve optimal health through personalized, natural interventions. Common conditions treated by naturopathic medicine may include acne, fertility, indigestion, and hormonal issues for both men and women.

Your first visit with your naturopath will typically last 60-90 minutes. This comprehensive first step attempts to better understand you and what brings you in. This is primarily achieved through an extensive health history. Here you discuss your condition or symptoms, when it began, how long it has lasted, things that make it worse, etc. The goal here is to create a better understanding of the causes and potential treatment options available.

Following this initial visit, your naturopath will create an individualized plan to address your needs. This may include a number of treatment options such as lifestyle changes, nutrition, acupuncture, or supplementation. In some instances, additional testing or screening may be recommended.

Subsequent visits may be a necessary part of your treatment plan. These might include additional treatments and act as an opportunity to re-evaluate the effectiveness of the plan as you recover. Your feedback is critical. Open and honest communication allows your naturopath to make changes to your plan when needed, bringing you closer, and closer to full recovery.
